Holland Code and RIASEC methodology
RIASEC groups work interests into six broad areas. KnowYourPull uses an independent, balanced 24-activity assessment inspired by that public framework; it is not the official O*NET Interest Profiler.
What it measures
RIASEC describes interests in six areas: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Interests describe activities a person may enjoy; they do not demonstrate ability, intelligence, qualification, or likely success.
How the assessment is balanced
The assessment contains four independently rated activities for each RIASEC area. Every area therefore has the same 0–16 possible score. The three highest scores form a plain-language three-letter pattern. Ties are resolved in a stable order and should not be interpreted as precise differences.
Independent wording
KnowYourPull wrote its own activity items. It does not reproduce the official O*NET Interest Profiler or a proprietary Holland assessment. O*NET is an important public reference for connecting interests with occupations.
How to interpret a result
Treat the result as a hypothesis about activities and environments to explore. Compare it with real projects, conversations, classes, job shadows, constraints, and evidence about your developing skills.
